Likewise.

Gentoo is my group's de facto standard distribution, and we need to use
pubcookie, so you've got a captive tester in me.

Same here.  Slightly more specifically, my target box is running Gentoo
Base 1.6.14 (x86), kernel 2.6.15 (Gentoo patch level r1), and Apache
2.0.55, Gentoo package release r1.  More info, terminal transcriptions,
and whatever else can be provided on request.

I'm not much of a programmer (systems or otherwise), but I know my way
around Unix generally, and have beaten a number of compiles into
submission.  My guess is that I could probably get this one to work but
I doubt that I'd do so in the "right" way, and as Nathan suggested, I
wouldn't be doing the community any good in the process either.
