[pubcookie-users] - REPOST - Extending Session time on a per-user basis

Hello All,

This is a re-post of a question I submitted last week. I haven't heard
anything so I figured I would re-post it in hopes that someone who
didn't see it before sees it this time.

Please excuse my repetition:

I am somewhat new to Pubcookie and am tackling a request from my
end-users/customers.

We are using Pubcookie to authenticate via LDAP for our website.
Currently, the user logs in and their session is kept active for 8
hours, as defined in the config files. This is good, however, the
request is that we add a "remember me" field at login that will indicate
the user wants to keep the session active "indefinitely", until they
intentionally click the logout button.

My question is this: is it possible to specify, on a per-user basis at
login, that a session is to remain active until manually ended via
logout?

I'm not sure if there is a parameter that I can pass to index.cgi that
will accomplish this or if this is going to require more thinking. Any
ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Also, if this subject
has come up in the past, please excuse my redundancy and please point me
to that post.

Thanks!!
Adam Roberts
