Hi folks,
We've been using pubcookie to support SSO across 5-6 distinct web sites
for about a year with few issues. In the past couple of weeks, after
upgrading a web application that uses MSVC 8.0 (formerly used MSVC 7.1 I
believe) we started having intermittent application crashes in IIS.
If I re-run Win2k SP4, the problem actually gets worse. When I upgrade
to IIS 6 on Win2k3, the problem is equally (or more) pronounced. I have
tried removing the msvcr71.dll that is installed with PubCookie isapi
client, but it simply finds one in system32.
Attempts to place the web application in a different application pool
(on IIS 6) or put the IIS 6 into IIS 5 mode have failed.
Removing the isapi makes the problem go away.
Apart from re-compiling the ISAPI (assuming I can get the source and
figure out how to do this) with MS Visual C/C++ runtime 8.0, has anyone
encountered this problem?
The Win2k Servers are SP4 and the Win2k3 R2 Servers are Sp2.
Many thanks!
Trevor
