[pubcookie-users] Troubleshooting PubcookieLoginMethod POST

Hello folks,

I might have missed something in the documentation, but here's what my 
problem is:

This works:
PubcookieLoginMethod POST
PubcookiePostURL /PubCookie.reply      (this is the default)
--REMOTE_USER & the pubcookie_s_<appname>* cookie gets set

This fails:
PubcookieLoginMethod POST
PubcookiePostURL /login/index.php
--Even when doing a dump of the $_SERVER variables, REMOTE_USER is not 
set, and neither is the pubcookie_s_<appname>* cookie

Is the page specified for PubcookiePostURL responsible for setting both 
REMOTE_USER and the pubcookie_s_<appname>* cookie? I probably missed 
this, but is there a guide for writing your own PubcookiePostURL page?
