[Rhsalist] Great Leadership Experience

[RHSA VP]

Hello student leaders,

 

As we near the end of this year we begin the process of selecting next
year's RHSA exec board. Being on the RHSA exec board has brought
wonderful opportunities to myself as well as the best of friends I could
ever ask for. Yes, the compensation of room and board is a perk but
being apart of this amazing organization has truly been the payment. 

 

Five of the six positions this year will be selected through an
interview process and each position is listed below. To apply for this
position you must fill out the application and complete a bid before
April 20th at noon. The application can be found at www.uwrhsa.com and
sample bids can be found in the McCarty Leadership Office.

 

Here are the positions and their descriptions:

 

*         Director of Internal Affairs

o   Essentially the VP of RHSA

o   Oversee the RHSA committees and the representatives

o   A resource to the VPs and Internal Affairs directors in the hall

o   Resource to all the hall councils

o   Rep bonding and recognition

 

*         Director of Administration and Finance

o   Essentially the treasurer and the admin manager merged

o   Website, agenda, budget, minutes

o   Budget review, maintain list serves

o   Train and maintain hall treasurers/admins

 

*         Director of Public Relations

o   Advertising RHSA programs

o   Outreaching to other campus organizations 

o   Tabling both in and out of the halls

o   Co-chair the Programming and Publicity committee

 

*         Director of Programming and Diversity

o   Organize and implement RHSA programs

o   Co-chair the programming and Publicity committee

o   Advocate for under-represented groups in the residence halls

 

*         Director of National and Senatorial Communications

o   Organize and lead a group of delegates at the regional and national
conference

o   Act as head senator to the hall and at large senators in Hall Caucus

o   Organize fundraisers to support conference budget
