Karin is running the SSU this week:

HUB 209B
4:30-6:30

This week we will be working on the Free Gandhi campaign! We will be
preparing pamphlets, discussing t-shirts, etc. If you have chalk, please
bring some! For those of you who don't know what Free Gandhi is, you can
check out (and join!) the facebook group, here:

From the facebook page:
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are
so unlike your Christ."

Gandhi is in Hell. He didn't accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
We don't think that's very nice of God. We want to peacefully protest
God's indefinite imprisonment and torture of Gandhi. He's a pretty
awesome guy, and that's kind of dickish of God.

We demand the immediate release of Mahatma ("Great Soul") Gandhi. This
is a peaceful protest movement unaffiliated with any religion or lack
thereof; just a group of individuals who don't like cruelty and
injustice. Join us! Invite people!

A brief summary of some arguments against hell can be found here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Problem_of_Hell

We're planning marches on Gandhi's birthday, October 2, and on his death
day, January 30 (the day he went to Hell :( ), with sit-ins outside
major salvific exclusivist centers (such as Mars Hill in Seattle).

"I reject any religious doctrine that does not appeal to reason and is
in conflict with morality."

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?
