Chaya Teen Girls Group

Date: March 20, 2005

Time: 1pm

Location: Crossroads Mall meeting room (across from the customer service desk by Bartell's), Bellevue

Chaya will be starting a South Asian teen girls group. The premise of the group is to create a space where South Asian girls age 13-18 can come together to talk about their experiences growing up in America. We will have guided discussions and group activities. We are currently looking for volunteers who would be interested in co-facilitating the girls group. Our first group will be an information session to find out exactly what the girls would be interested in talking about, and what would keep them coming back. We will then work on creating a program based on their ideas. Volunteer involvement will be crucial for the longevity of the program. Therefore, we are looking for a few dedicated volunteers who would be willing to make a commitment of at least 6 months, to help plan and attend the group.

If you or any one you know would be interested, please contact Erin (by March 8) at 206-568-7576, or email erin at chayaseattle.org.
