Join the South Asia Center for a special chai on Bengal/Bangladesh, and
opportunities to study in and about the region.
Friday, April 18, 3:30 PM, Thomson 317.
Participants include:
Carol Salomon, Asian Languages and Literature;
Barbara Weber who worked for the Grameen Bank with Muhammed Yunus;
Joe Cook who works in Kolkata on the economics of vaccines against cholera
and typhoid;
Sahar Romani, South Asia MA Student, who works for the organization Kalam
running a language arts program in Kolkata for street kids;
Molly Dalassandro, former Peace Corps volunteer in Bangladesh;
and others.
Join us for tea and samosas and great conversation.
