*UW Libraries Research Commons Highlights for Winter Quarter*
*Events & Grad Student Consultations

The Research Commons has a strong lineup of workshops, consultations and
drop-in clinics for students this quarter. Many of these are being
coordinated with the Graduate School and include topics on publishing,
citation management, time management and writing. Here are a few:
- Feb 1st: Time Management presentation by David Domke
- Throughout February: EndNote, Zotero and RefWorks Sessions
- Feb 22nd: The Basics of Publishing in the Social Sciences by Amanda
Hornby
- Feb 15th: Collaborating and Co-Authoring presentation by Phil Howard
- Feb 7th: Searching, Finding, Feeding: It's Not Just for Zombies
Anymore presentation by Emily Keller
- Mondays & Thursdays 10:30 – 12:30 Graduate Student Writing Drop-In

Semi-enclosed space featuring a whiteboard wall, move-able tables and
chairs to offer flexibility for large or small meetings, breakout sessions,
or research presentations.

enclosed classroom and seminar space reserve-able for research-related
events, workshops, and presentations. Features: Whiteboard wall, Projection
screen, Two live Ethernet ports, Flexible furniture. Policies: Reserve-able
two days in advance..

Camcorders, useful for small projects and preparing for presentations, are
now available for checkout, are now available for checkout at the Research
