[Soasiastudents] Transition and thanks

Greetings,
I hope your summer is going well. As those of you in Seattle know, it is 
quite gorgeous here right now but still lacks a good dirty street chat 
joint and is a bit too smug in its orderliness. So, enjoy Jaipur, 
Kumaon, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Hyderabad and wherever else you may be 
before you head back.
I'll be moving on this summer to chair my department of Gender, Women 
and Sexuality Studies at UDub, so I will no longer be chairing the 
program in South Asian Studies or directing the National Resource 
Center, where all those FLAS fellowships are generated from. Prof Anand 
Yang, whom most of you know, and is a great teacher, scholar and mentor, 
will be taking over.
It's been a pleasure to get to know you and I hope I will continue to 
interact with you in my classes, your thesis committees, and at South 
Asian Studies events.
