SSNet FACULTY FELLOWS AWARDS

The Science Studies Network and the Simpson Center for the Humanities  
seek three to five faculty each quarter of the 2008-2009 academic year  
to serve as core conveners for the SSNet seminar on “Democratizing  
Science.” Core faculty will receive a stipend of $500 each for any  
quarter in which they serve in this capacity. This call for  
applications is for the Winter 2009 segment of the seminar, “Democracy  
and Diversity in Science.”

The deadline for Fall quarter applications is November 17, 2008. A  
notice for Spring 2009 Fellows will be circulated early in the Winter  
quarter; faculty may serve as seminar conveners in more than one  
quarter. A detailed description of the seminar theme and guidelines  
for application are posted on the SSNet website, and are available at:
