Sorry folks, I hit the wrong button - instead of sending this to Shaun only,
you all got it.
However, now that my lurking cover is blown, I'd like to invite all of you
to consider participating on a panel to be given during Career Week, 2000
(the first week of February), that will focus on the many flavors of GIS. I
want to be able to show the students at large who is using GIS, in what
contexts, and what they're doing with it. I'd really like to have
participants from all walks of GIS (so to speak), and the more
"interesting," the better, as in Seattle PD, for example.
While I'm at it, I'm looking for people who have developed portfolios -
educational, career, professional, etc. - and who have "used" them for
whatever purpose. Anyone out there willing to talk about it? I really need
good examples to show students and professionals in workshops and
presentations on portfolios. Electronic portfolios are nice, but paper's
fine, too.
Seriously, I'd love to hear from you all.
cheers,
Kate Duttro
