Subject: GIS Position at Mount Rainier

The following is a brief description of a GIS position soon to be announced for
Mount Rainier National Park.  Please pass this information on to anyone that may
be interested.  The position is seasonal, full time and will likely begin in
March-April and continue through the summer.  The job should be announced in the
next few weeks on the federal jobs web site at: http://www.usajobs.opm.gov/

Cartographic Technician (GIS) GS-1371-5

 Incumbent will perform GIS data entry and analysis related to natural
resource monitoring.  Duties will include incorporating existing database
information into GIS and populating GIS databases with natural resource
information.  Incumbent will produce basic maps and reports using GIS and
database tools.  Metadata, data dictionaries, and other data documentation
will be prepared for GIS data.  Incumbent will use GPS and photographic
equipment to collect field information and incorporate collected data into
the GIS.
