Every year, through the Student Assistantship Program, ESRI sponsors 60
students to participate in the ESRI International User Conference.
Selected students help with a variety of administrative and operational
tasks.

Graduate students and fourth-year undergraduate students who use GIS
software are invited to apply for participation in the program, which
includes monitoring sessions, registration, staffing, and overall
logistics. ESRI also sets aside time for the students to attend sessions.
Students receive a full registration package for the conference, hotel
accommodations, and a small stipend for meals but must pay for their own
travel and personal expenses.

All of the student applicants are required to submit a letter describing
their academic interest in GIS and experience with ESRI software, a
resume, an essay on why they wish to be considered, and two letters of
recommendation. The deadline for applying to the ESRI UC Student
Assistantship Program 2003 is April 11, 2003.

Questions can be e-mailed to ucstudents at esri.com.
