Once again, ESRI is offering the summer internship and assistantship
programs.

The summer internships are opportunities for students to work on teams
with ESRI professionals. "Each internship is a paid position and will be
up to 12 weeks long. Relocation, housing, and living expenses are the
responsibility of the student." Applications are due by March 3, 2003.
You will need a letter of reference to apply for the internship, so make
sure to act far enough in advance. For details see

	http://www.esri.com/company/jobs/intern.html

The student assistantships provide an opportunity for students to attend
the User Conference, this year on July 7-11, 2003. Students are required
to work on various grunt tasks, but when not working, they can attend any
of the UC sessions. "Students receive a full registration package for the
conference, hotel accommodations, and a small stipend for meals but pay
for their own travel and personal expenses." Applications must be
received by April 11. You will need 2 references (with at least 1 of
these from a professor), so if you want to try for this, you should act
soon enough to get your reference letters together. For details, see

	http://www.esri.com/events/uc/participate/assistantship.html

Good luck to all applicants!

-P.
