Subject: [UW-GIS-L] Features classes unification
Hi List,
I have work with transportation data and create two feature classes or
shapefiles that I would like to join together so I can classified the
results analysis into a single output classification.
Basically what I did was to calculate emissions outputs from traffic
volumes, since the emissions are different at varied speeds I had to
calculate my output in two roads classes: Highways and Arterials.
Now in order to present the results for the total output in the Seattle
area, I need to classified a unified results and I can't figured out how
to do it properly.
I have try to use the append tool in the arctoolbox, but not be able to
make it work.
The only difference between the two feature classes or shapefiles are
the attributes that define the class...
Free_Vol for Freways and Highways
Art_Vol for arterials data.
all other attributes are the same in both datasets.
Any ideas will be helpful... Thanks
Mario
