Chris,
If you having trouble uncompressing the gz aka gzip format you can find free
compression software @ cnet.com go to their download page and search for
gzip, then download whatever gzip software you need, not sure if winzip does
gzip, the old version would not.

Chris,
In Arc Catalog there should be a toolbar you can activate that is called
ArcView 8x Tools once the toolbar is open you on the conversion drop down
menu select, "import from interchange file" and import you e00 Cheers

Hi,

I'm a long-time listener, rare poster, former UW GIS Cert. student, and
first year Master of Urban Planning student.

I'm trying to import PSLC LiDAR files into a personal geodatabase on my home
machine using the educational version that we were given (ArcView 9.2 and
Extensions Student Edition).

I grabbed import71 from Geocomm.com but I'm not sure how to decompress the
files. Can I use WinZip or is there a way to unpack them in ArcView?

Cheers,
Chris
