Subject: ESRI on campus to share future software directions and learn about UW geospatial projects
When: Wednesday, January 13th at 12:00 PM in Bloedel Hall Room 292
What: Nathalie Smith from ESRI will be on campus on Wednesday, January 13th to talk about where ESRI is headed as a company and interface with UW's geospatial community. Nathalie will give a presentation on future software directions and other changes at ESRI followed by a round table discussion of what kinds of things researchers at the University are doing with ESRI and other geospatial software, and how ESRI can support those efforts. This will be a great opportunity to give feedback to ESRI about your experiences with GIS software, good, bad or otherwise, and to meet people from our local ESRI Regional Office in Olympia.
>From my own experience, knowing the local ESRI staff has been very helpful to many of the projects I have worked on, and I encourage anyone that uses ESRI software to join us for this informal lunchtime meeting.
-Luke
