To: people running ESRI (ArcGIS Desktop & Workstation) license servers
at UW, all others can ignore this message.

Q: How do I know if I'm running an ArcGIS desktop license server?
A1: If you are using a machine that is on any of the UW campus or
satellite sites, you are probably not running an ArcGIS desktop license
server and you can ignore this message.
A2: If you are running a campus-wide license server, or a departmental
license server, you will "just know," so you should read on.
A3: If you are using a computer that is physically separated from the UW
IP address pool (e.g., a computer that goes to the field) and you have
installed ArcGIS desktop &/or workstation *and* the ArcGIS license
server *and* you have received a license file in the past, then you are
running a license server and you should read on.
A4: If you are a system administrator and (A3) applies to a computer
that you have supported, you should read on.

Q: Where is my new license file?
A: http://gis.washington.edu/esri/license/keycodes/

Q: How do I install my new license file?
A1: If you are a Windows user, download your license file. In the
Windows Explorer, dbl-click the file after it is downloaded. Follow the
prompts.
A2: If you are a *NIX user, you probably already know what you are doing
and can follow the installation path you have used in the past (or look
up the documentation).

Q: What if I don't see my license file at
<http://gis.washington.edu/esri/license/keycodes/>?
A: Send me e-mail <phurvitz at uw.edu> with the name of the server and its
MAC address or Sentinel Key number (whichever is applicable).

-P.
