The Population Research Institute at Pennsylvania State University and the Center for Spatially Integrated Social Science (CSISS) at UCSB invite applications from Ph.D. students, postdocs, and early-career faculty in demography and related fields to participate in the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD)-supported Workshops on Advanced Spatial Analysis. This program features two 5-day-long workshops in summer 2011 that are intended for scholars who already make use of GIS, geographically defined contextual data, and spatial statistics in their research. The scheduled workshops are:

Spatial Regression Modeling
June 19-24
Penn State, State College, PA
Instructors: Paul Voss and Katherine Curtis

Multilevel Modeling
July 10-15
UCSB, Santa Barbara, CA
Instructors: Kelvyn Jones and S.V. (Subu) Subramanian

For more details about these workshops see the flyer at:
