[UW-GIS-L] Convert E00 to csv

Hello,

I have some sea ice charts that are E00 files.  I need to convert them to csv format that would show latitudes and longitudes of many polygons for a particular ice type.

Can any one give me a hint on how I can do this conversion using GIS?  Do I have to first convert E00 to shapefile and then to csv?  

I have no experience with GIS. So any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
