[U Curric update] Re: Changes to the Approval Process for Approved Elective Lists for Undergraduate Majors

Hello Curriculum Coordinators,

I was asked for more information about this change.  Here is the reason/rationale the change.

There has been ongoing issues with departments listing courses outside of their department to their approved list of electives (both using the 1503 and without using the 1503).

Thus to make sure that all changes are getting the proper authorization, the FCAS subcommittee SCAP has deemed that all changes to approved lists of electives must be vetted through the Curriculum Office prior to implementation in DARS.  Those that were specified via a 1503 and those that were not specified via an email to uwcr at u.washington.edu.
