Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010
Mark Lilla, Professor of Humanities at Columbia University, will speak at
7:30 PM in Kane 210 on the campus of the University of Washington as part of
the Luce Lectures in Religion and Human Security
 
He will speak on the Separation of Church and State. "The revival of a
radical political theology in Islam offers an opportunity to reconsider the
history of church-state relations in the West and to think harder about the
political challenges that religion presents today."
 
The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 7 PM
