Unattached Licenses... what to do!

Many of you have been asking me what to do regarding you unattached
license.
If your license says unattached, or you have another club listed, you
can get it altered with a sticker to reflect the fact that you are a member
of the Husky Racing club.
You don't need to do this if you belong to another club. You can
race collegiate events for UW and non-collegiate events (USCF/NORBA) for
another team.
However, sometimes you'll be charged $5 for an unattached fee
(insurance reasons being the justification). And technically, you're
supposed to be a registered member in order to wear the Husky Jersey in
a USCF/NORBA event. Although no one (with the possible exception of Phil
Miller) will ever check.
So, if you think that you'll be racing non-collegiate races in
a UW jersey and don't belong to another team, then you should sign up.
There are two ways that you can get your license updated:
The first is give it to me before the EWU weekend, (that's *before*
this Saturday!) and I'll have Gino stamp it for you. The second is to mail
it into Gino directly.
If you want to get your license to me, send me email and we will
arrange a meeting time. Unfortunately, I don't think that there is
enough time for mail to work. If you're going on the EWU weekend, you
can take care of it yourself.
Or below is what Gino says regarding mailing it to him.
***photocopy your license first****, it could take a month or longer
to get your license back.
As always, let me know if you have any questions.

Peter,
I'll be at Frozen Flatland. Or they can mail their actual license in to me
with a request for attachment to whatever team. Tell them to make a copy of
their license to use during the interim. The letter to me must contain a
self addressed stamped envelope.
