I called up Castelli today and figured everything out. We have to send in
our artwork, all the logos and the placement of the logos (sponsors) along
with a %50 deposit in order for them to start working on the
jerseys. They then send us a final sample and if we approve it, they will
start making our jerseys. Right now they are backed up 6 weeks, but in
december they will be backed up 8 weeks. Therefore we should do this as
soon as possible. I need the artwork for the logos from the sponsorship
people as soon as possible. Castelli wants the logos in photostats, clean
black and white laser prints, or other clean printed material, but they
prefer them in Macintosh Adobe Illustrator files. They also want to know
what the font is.
We need to start collecting for jerseys now. The easiest way to do it
will be to stop by the bike shop and pay the 50% deposit for what you
want.
Group 1 (we must have a min of 24 for the group and a min of 12 for each
seperate item)
jersey $56
windstopper vest $75
skinsuit $86 (if we don't meet the minimum for shorts, then the bottom
of the skinsuit will be a solid color)
Group 2 (these shorts have a sweet pad)
team shorts $45
bib shorts $54
if we meet the minimum of 24 for group 2, but not the min of 12 for either
short, then I will bumb you into the other category of short so that we
can still get shorts. If you pay for shorts and we don't get them, then
the 50% paid for the shorts will go towards final payment of the jersey.
Group 3 (we are not likely to meet mins here, but it doesn't hurt to try)
long sleeve jersey $68
windjacket (made w/ illuminite so you are totally visible under a car's
beams) $72
That is what is available. Payment is due at the bike shop by Friday,
November 17. This is a one time order. If you don't not bring your order
with 50% deposit into the shop by this time then you will NOT get a
jersey this year. After castelli sends me the artwork back for final
approval I will send the picture of it out to you guys. If everyone hates
it then we can try to change the design.
Please make your checks out to Husky racing. Tell the mechanic to put the
stuff in my cubby or on the board.
Please do not respond to this email, just drop the payment along with
what you want at the bike shop.
Hopefully enough people will want shorts and skinsuits so that we can get
them. We will look a lot more profesional if we have team bib shorts, and
skinsuits are just plain cool. I'm going to wear mine to biology lab. It
has the perfect wicking character for the stress of an exciting lab.
Thanks,
Tyler Nathe
