This is a reminder for RCR members and a formal invitation for the UW racers:

Recycled cycles racing will be putting on a track class so that members of that team, and the UW cycling team, who have an interest in trying out track racing can get certified to race.

Class is ~4 hours long and will be done earlier in the day so that we're not out in the heat of the day. It is comprised of various drills to get you comfortable with riding a track bike, as well as instruction about the lines, rules, races, etc at the track.

Class fees will vary. Typically its $40 a person per class. Not so for us. It costs us $400 for the day (4 hours). So... the more people we have in the class, the cheaper it will be for everyone. If we have over 10 people, all entrants are saving money. Just how much you save depends upon the number of people over 10 who enroll.

Your instructors will be: Troy Coleman, Cole Coleman, & Tye Howell for sure. If we have more than 15 people register for the class, we will have another class assistant.

If rental bikes are not available by this date, we will either push the class back, or attempt to borrow enough bikes for people to take the class.

To register, please email me and inform me that you are coming. Total class fee will be estimated, and collected on the day of class - you know, to optimize savings.

If <10 people register, the class will be opened up to the public to offset costs.

Please direct any questions to this email, not to the group unless you think that everyone will benefit from an anwser.

later,
Tye
