Hello,
Fyi, some of you may be interested to know that the 45-min. imax movie
shot at the Tour de France a couple years ago (which was originally
focused largely on Tyler Hamilton's gritty 03 Tour performance, but
subsequently re-focused & expanded beyond just his story in editing no
doubt due to to his uncertain legal woes... ) is coming to the imax
theater at Seattle's Pacific Science Center starting December 26th.
Here's info from http://www.pacsci.org/schools/eames_imax.html
Wired to Win – Surviving the Tour de France
(December 26, 2005 – April 30, 2006)
The brain contains no moving parts and has the consistency of gelatin,
yet it directs movement and breathing, thought and emotions,
continually adapting its cell structure to each new experience. Wired
to Win takes us on a unique journey through the pain, stresses,
exhaustion and exhilaration endured by Tour de France cyclists as they
push their bodies to the limit. Medical imaging technologies allow us
to witness how the brain reacts to changing situations and how it
commands bodily systems to counter the stresses put upon them.
