Recycled Cycles will build any wheel you want. They built an amazing MTB set for me a few months ago at $50 a wheel. Completely custom to my weight, style, needs and demands. Something to consider.

Subject: [Uwracing] Wheel Building
Cyclists,
Does anyone have a truing stand that I could borrow for a weekend or
two? A spoke tension meter and dishing gauge would be nice too. I'm
planning to build a couple wheels for my touring bike this summer. I
haven't ordered the pieces yet, so it will be a few weeks before I
will have them in hand, laced and ready for the truing stand.
This project will be my first foray into wheel building. I know it is
possible to improvise substitutes for all of this equipment, but,
from what I understand, they would make the job faster and less
frustrating.
Thanks,
Ben
