"Adaptive Technology: Choices, Priorities & Opportunities"
Children's Hospital and Medical Center, Seattle, WA
Wright Auditorium, March 8-9, 1996
Presented by CHMC's Division of Congenital Defects and Children's Adaptive
Technology Service (CATS), the topic of this year's Duncan Seminar is
adaptive technology for children and adults and the challenge of
integrating that technology into the activities of daily life. The entire
AT community is invited to attend, including consumers and family members,
professionals and service providers, educators, and AT vendors. This
two-day conference will provide an opportunity to share information and
learn from each other about how to approach technology so that children
and adults with disabilities can succeed at home, school, work and
recreation.
The course will focus on principles and problem-solving approaches in the
adaptive technology field. Topics include academic, vocational, social and
recreational issues, as well as a hands-on AT lab, vendor booths and some
special presentations.
