This is in response to the message posted by Dick O'Connor regarding windows
based voice command systems. The product that I believe you're referring to
is IN CUBE For Windows, by Command Corp. Inc. They have several different
versions of their package. The "Pro" version is for Windows NT. They also
have versions available for Windows 95 and Windows 3.1. You can download a
demo of their software from their WWW site. The WWW address is:
http://www.commandcorp.com/cci/incube_welcome.html
Creative Labs also has a package called Voice Assist. It comes with some of
their sound cards, or can be ordered seperately. It is like In Cube in that
it provides for voice navigation in Windows rather than voice dictation,
although, with either package you can set up macros to enter frequently used
blocks of text. The WWW Address for Creative Labs is:
http://www.creaf.com/
The Yahoo Directory also has a page listing other Internet resources for
Voice Recognition information. The WWW for the Yahoo Voice Recognition page is:
http://www.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Companies/Computers/Software/Voice
_Recognition/
Hope this information is of assistance.
Glenn
