Subject: IDEA legislation

Please support measures that keep the Special Education legislation known as
IDEA together and intact. This legislation assures that people who cannot
speak for themselves have a voice. It is too easy to cut expenditures on the
backs of people with disabilities. Please don't do this. These people can
and do learn and advance toward independence with the help of Special
Education programs, Speech-Language Pathology services, Assistive Technology
help, Occupational and Physical Therapy support. I remember the times before
we had Special Education law to bring services to students with disabilities.
Lets not go back . Alice Widmann,
