I will post a notice on DeafWeb Washington requesting volunteer interps for
those meetings. You might also contact CSCDHH, WSRID, ASLIS, and SCCC to
pass the word along to them as well. If that pile of acronymns doesn't mean
anything to you, let me know and I'll get you the info on them.
>We got this announcement for assistance and are passing it on:
>Seattle King County Block Grant is not able to pay interpreters for WSDBC
>Board and Committee meetings, therefore we cannot have any paid
>interpreters for our WSDBC Board/Committee meetings. We lost some
>meetings because of lack of interpreter service.
>I am looking for volunteers with skilled "relay" and/or "tactile" sign
>language for our board and/or committee meetings. We will need
>them April 11, April 20, and May 11 and in the near future.
>Please call Leslie Peterson, president of WSDBC, @ 720-4912 TTY. We need
>your help or WSDBC will lose its empowerment. Call with suggestions or
>questions. Thank You.
