Dear electronic neighbors and friends,
It has been almost a year since this discussion forum was established.
Now it is time for us to evaluate the effectiveness and impact the
discussion forum may have had on people's lives, and we need your help.
We are looking for informal accounts and stories that would highlight the
importance of creating electronic communities and outline the reasons why
electronic discussion forums on AT and disability are useful and should be
supported and fostered. If you've been able to find answers to your
questions, if you've been helped by the people participating in the
discussion, if you've met new friends, found a job, learned about
important issues, started participating in disability related advocacy
efforts, were able to help someone, if the information on the group in
_any way_ had an impact on your life, if you think that having such a
discussion forum is important -- please drop us a note. Your input will be
used to document the impact of our activities to the Federal funding
agency and to let other Tech Act projects in the U.S. know how they can
create electronic discussion groups and what outcomes they can expect.
Thanks very much to all of you for bringing your questions and concerns to
the forum and for sharing your experiences, knowledge, opinions, and
expertise! It's been terrific to see the discussion forum growing and
exciting to participate in it. We would appreciate receiving your
comments by 5/24/96.
Thank you for your support,
Dagmar Amtmann
