June 22 Conference on Health Care at the Crossroads

	On June 22, 1996, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Washington
Single Payor Action Network and a number of other community organizations
will hold a conference on "Health Care at the Crossroads - Organizing for
Survival in the Era of Corporate Medicine."  The conference will be at the
Pigott Auditorium, Seattle University, 12th Avenue & Marion Street.
Registration is $25.00/$10.00 for scholarships.  The conference will
address issues like:  Is Congress doing away with Medicare or Medicaid?
What can we do?  How can we get quality care given insurance company
oversight of medical providers?  Why are premium rates rising so fast
