telephone/switch question

I received a call from someone with an aunt in a nursing home situation.
The aunt has limited control of her hands and must dial zero to reach the
telephone operator who then connects her with the number she wants to
reach. The aunt often has trouble hitting the zero button on the
telephone pad and the extra large style number pads don't work well
either. They are looking for other options.

Does anyone know if there is a resource where this woman could try using a
voice activated telephone?

Also, is it possible to hook up a switch to the telephone which would
dial the operator when activated?

I should also note that according to the caller, the aunt is comfortable
with using the operator for dialing.
