To all interested parties!!
International Society of Augmentative and Alternative Communication is
having their 7th biennial conference in Vancouver BC from August 7th-10th.
This is a rare opportunity for people living in Washington state to have
such close access to an ISAAC conference. In 2 years it will be in Europe
and in 4 probably on east coast of USA. The conference includes a
consumer day as well. Topics include but not limited to:Power of Internet
and WWW for augmentative communication users, Literacy Needs for visually
impaired augmentative communication users, adults with acquired
communication impairments. There will also be an Exhibition Hall
demonstrating the latest technologies available. There will be many
opportunities to interact with others including consumers and providers of
services.
ISAAC emailed me last week and reported a limited number of people from
Washington State have registered. Please spread the word to your
associates/consumers/parents, etc. to consider attending. You can obtain
registration information by calling (604)681-5226 or faxing (604)681-2503.
ISAAC also has a home page http:\\www.sunnyhill.bc.ca\SUNNY_HILL
ISAAC.html I also
have copies of the registration form which I can fax.
