PAS-PORT Walk for Change   [PAS = Personal Assistance Services]

When are you going to ask for what you deserve?
Direct care attendants are the essential element in the human services
industry and yet are frequently hired without adequate training,
withstanding the choice of the person being served, and are without
question underpaid.

The PAS-PORT Walk for Change

Date:	Saturday, September 14, 1996
Time:	12 noon - 5:00 pm
Where:	Tracy Owen Station Park on the Burke-Gilman Trail in Kenmore
	61st Avenue NE & NE 175th Street (just east of Lake City Way)

For:  	Personal Attendants
	Persons who employ Personal Attendants
	Family Members
	Advocates

Schedule of Events

12 noon:    Festivities, live music, and barbeque begin
1:00 pm:    One-mile walk on Burke-Gilman Trail
2:00 pm:    Rally with speakers from PAS-PORT for Change and other
	      distinguished members of the community.
3:00 pm:    Discuss next steps for the future
4:00 pm:    Enjoy the music and the lakeside view with friends
