Phone Service

Since this is a Seattle-based list, it's possible that this might be
something people in the area should know.
There's apparently a wide-spread disruption in phone service in the
Bellingham, WA area.  I don't know how far it spreads, or to what extent,
but some of us can't make long distance calls or receive incoming calls.

If you've experienced messages such as "you need to dial one" and you
already did, or if you call someone you know and are told that the line has
been disconnected, it's possible that it's part of this glitch.

Fortunately, I'm able to send and receive email, but if you call my number,
it's out of order.  Hopefully this will be fixed today.
