All Our Children is a not for profit community based organization committed
to serving children with special needs and their families. AOC is
registered with the Department of State in Washington, and has a section
501(c)(3) designation from the I.R.S. as a charitable and educational
organization.
The All Our Children Center is funded by a United States Department of
Education Grant. The spacious center serves the Northeast Washington area
and is located within the district headquarters of the Riverside School
District. It is staffed by parent mentors, trained in conflict resolution
and information technology, who have children with special needs. It is
equipped with computers, video equipment, a short-stay child care area and a
lending library. The center offers parent education, referrals to
professionals and organizations, assistance in accessing and qualifying for
services, outreach, story theatre and mediation.
The Mission of AOC is to work in cooperation with the public schools and
other organizations to meet the needs of infants, toddlers and children with
disabilities. Toward this end, we support parent centered education and
advocacy.
